I don’t normally share exact case studies on clients campaigns, for confidentiality reasons…
This client was in the funeral/bereavement niche, a fairly competitive niche with regards to keywords.
Starting point was decent, as they already had their content down – BUT… traffic was probably sub-50 visits per day.
Here’s when I came in!
With just a 3 month link building campaign – I created between 45-50 links. 100% relevant and white hat.
So I worked from mid-June – start October and results may not have been noticeable straightaway (you have to think long term) but you can already see the traffic significantly increases from
324 in a week at the start of July
And while it was only a short 3 month campaign, the results slowly compound over time as they get indexed.
Without any further links needing to be built, it hit 1000 visits per week by January. (Pretty obvious from this graph that this campaign worked!)
And by March it peaked at just over 1,200 visits per week!
Also, the rankings for some very competitive (and valuable) keywords increased significantly in this time. And I wasn’t even trying to specifically rank for a particular set of keywords…
This Semrush graph shows how it went from barely ranking for anything, to eventually ranking in the top 3 for 9 keywords, and ranking in the first page for over 100 other keywords.
